After having my two beautiful children, my back pains never went away. I tried for a really long time to find something that worked. I went to the chiropractor often, I tried heat and ice, and I even started taking yoga classes. However, nothing seemed to help.

End of Summer Fitness Tips

  • Eat breakfast: This seems so simple, but with many of us getting much busier over these next couple months, breakfast is an easy meal to forget about. A quick, protein filled breakfast can help fuel you for the rest of the day.
  • Take care of pain: Winter will be here before you know it and with it, it will bring colder weather. As we all know, colder weather is hard on our bodies. So, now is the time to take care of any injuries or joint pain that you have. I recently discovered the BeActive Brace which really helped to eliminate my back pain.   • Enjoy the Rest of What Summer has to Offer: There are so many delicious summer fruits and veggies that will be gone soon. Take advantage of these! You’ll be sad that you didn’t take full advantage of them when they are gone for the seasons to come!
  • Join the Gym: It’s a guarantee that you won’t get to spend as much time outside during the fall and winter, so take advantage of the rest of the time you do have, and then get a gym membership. Some gyms cost as little as $10 a month and are really worth it! They also offer classes so that you aren’t doing the same routine everyday. This way you won’t get bored and quit!
  • Hit up the beach: You will only have a few more chances before the water gets cold again, so take advantage of the lake or ocean now! Swimming is a great workout and you will definitely feel it the next day. A big plus is that beaches won’t be as crowded anymore either.
  • Get out and explore: There are so many parks and trails in your area and this is the perfect time to explore all of them. The leaves will be changing soon and there is no better site than nature in the fall! Do some research and try to hit up all of them before the winter comes.

Summer Fitness Tips From the Pros

  • Pick up the pace! No matter where you are, you can pick up the pace. Walk a little faster to the bathroom, skip to your car, jog to Starbuck’s. You go so many places every single day, so why not just go a little faster?
  • Carry a reusable water bottle! We can all afford to drink more water and save the environment at the same time with a reusable bottle. If you are sure to take water everywhere you go, then you’ll be more likely to drink it throughout the day.   • No time? No Problem! If you don’t have time to workout, then you need to do more intense workouts in the time you do have. When you feel too tired to do anything. Get up and push as hard as you can for a short amount of time. It will be totally worth it and you’ll feel great.
  • Keep a Food Log! This is a huge pain, but you gotta do it. There is no simpler way to monitor what you are eating than by writing it all done. I’m talking every morsel, write it all down! You can monitor your nutrition with the SuperTracker and see what you need to eat more and less of.
